Giuseppe Farina was born in Italy-Turin on October 30 1906. He decided to start his racing career at 1930. After Jean-Pierre Wimille was killed, Giuseppe Farina became a team leader at Alfa-Romeo, at 1949. He won the world championship at 1950, but the competition increased in 1951 as he was under the shadow of Juan Manuel Fangio. So he moved to Ferrari where he was once again overshadowed, by Alberto Ascari. He retired at 1955. It is ironic that after years surviving big accidents Farina met his death on an Alpine road near between Geneva and
Chambery while on his way to watch the 1966 French Grand Prix. He was 59.
