Ghosn is confident about Renault

Renault team, will stay in Formula one for many years, despite their bad appearances in 2007 and 2008 seasons, according to car manufacturer's chief executive Carlos Ghosn. Last year Renault finished third in the constructors championship, and this season is struggling in the 7th place with only 9 points, 60 points behind constructors' leader, Ferrari. All that despite of the fact that the world champion Fernando Alonso is back in the team.

Ghosn however believes that the team can change their fortune later this season. "We are committed to F1 for many years and we certainly won't leave while we're not winning. The fruits of our work on the way to recovery will be seen in the second part of the season. It's clear that I'm not happy with the results. Fernando is very important, he's given motivation and argumentations to the team, and he is a fighter and an honest person. It's up to us to give him a good car. I'm confident he'll stay with us. No marriage resists in F1 with a lack of results. Everyone in the team knows we must do more," he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
