Schumacher rejected the offer of replacing Todt

Michael Schumacher turned down the offer of taking Jean Todt ’s place in Ferrari Formula One team, after his retirement at the end of 2006 season.

The German turned down the offer and became a special advisor for the team instead, and Stefano Domenicali replaced Jean Todt. When Jean Todt was asked by Auto Motor und Sport about this he answered, “Michael Schumacher was the best candidate of all, but he has not accepted.”
