All eyes on Jarno Trulli on the third day in Barcelona

Lewis Hamilton continued the impressive performance on the second day of the last pre-season test in Barcelona. But it was not Hamilton in the first place on the third day of testing. Jarno Trulli gave an impressive performance by making the fastest lap with 1:20.801 after completing 83 laps, while Lewis Hamilton was 10th. The Italian proved that Toyota made a big improvement just two weeks before the start of the season in Australia, although these times may be a little misleading, as fuel loads and tyre conditions were not taken into account. But still 1:20.801 was the best time of the week and proves Toyota's progress.

"We made some progress in understanding the car and the set-up. Even though this is only a test, it's nice to see the mechanics and the guys smiling because today's times are good motivation. There is still room for improvement but this shows the team has done a good job over the winter tests. Of course we won't know the real running order until Melbourne but I'm quite confident for the season. It's definitely looking much better than last year so I'm happy for the team," said Trulli.

Davi Coulthard came back in action after resting his neck for a week, and made the second fastest lap, about 4 tenths behind Jarno Trulli. His teammate Mark Webber was 5th and Trulli's teammate Timo Glock was 11th. Nico Rosberg was in third place in the timesheets after 77 laps, about five tenths behind Jarno Trulli. Heikki Kovalainen was fourth while his teammate Lewis Hamilton was 10th.

These are the results of the last pre-season test. Most of the teams are not going to test anymore until April. The season is starting in two weeks, on March 16, and most of the teams seems ready and competitive.
