Lewis Hamilton signed a new contract with McLaren till 2012. After a stunning season, with Hamilton fighting for the championship until the end, losing it only by one point to Kimi Raikkonen, he now signed a new five-year contract with McLaren.

Although last season was Hamilton rookie year in formula one he has been with the team since 1998, according to what he says, “Whilst last year was my first year with the team in Formula One, I have been connected to McLaren and Mercedes-Benz since 1998 and feel that I could easily drive for this team for the whole of my Formula One career. We will have a lot of challenges ahead, but I am 100% positive I am with the people to take them on,” he said.
