Heikki Kovalainen will make his debut with McLaren testing it in Jerez on Tuesday. He will be testing the brand new MP4-23, as it is unveiled on Monday, just one day before Heikki’s test.

The 26-year old Finn, along with his new teammate Lewis Hamilton will unveil the new McLaren at the Mercedes-Benz museum on Monday and one day later he will fly to Spain to test it, as Lewis Hamilton will join him later in the week.

“I will fly from Stuttgart on Monday afternoon straight to Jerez, where the next day I will test the new car for the first time. I am certainly quite excited about it,” the Finn said.

Kovalainen made an impressive start in Formula One, as he managed to outplace his more experienced ex-teammate, Giancarlo Fisichella, last year and finished 7th in his debut season. It will be interesting and an opportunity for the Finn to show his capabilities, driving the new MP4-23.
