Kubica's future is still unknown, and it seems like it will remain this way untill summer or may be more. The Pole's contract with BMW team is expiring at the end of the season. However BMW have the option to keep him for one more year, and they can choose to do so or not. But BMW refuses to announce the 2009 season line-up now. Most likely they will announce the drivers for the next season during summer. "We'll announce next year's drivers in the summer," said BMW boss Mario Theissen.

After Kubica's good results in the season, teams like Renault and Ferrari are reportedly interested in him, so BMW has to make a decision quickly, or other teams may try to sign him. "Every day there is some new rumor, it was same as two weeks ago, one week ago. I have no new information," Kubica said. "I would just like the best option for me, but we will see what it will be. For now I am just concentrating on this year and doing the best job possible. Then we will have to see."
