Massa first in free practice in Bahrain - F1 News

Felipe Massa set the pace on the Friday's free testing, in Bahrain, while Lewis Hamilton crushed his McLaren just nine minutes before the end of the session, but manage to make lap and be placed fourth after the session. Fortunately Hamilton got out of his McLaren unharmed, and able to compete in the qualifying session on Saturday.

Kimi Raikkonen was second behind Felipe Massa, with 1:32.327, making the one-two for Ferrari, in the session. Heikki Kovalainen was third and as it was expected a BMW came after the McLarens and the Ferraris. Robert Kubica made the fifth best time as his teammate Nick Heidfeld was 17th.

Nico Rosberg, David Coulthard and Kazuki Nakajima, completed the first eight, as they came 6th, 7th and 8th respectively. The Ferraris seem to have made a progress, as they seem to have recovered from the reliability problems they had in the start of the season. Everything is set for the qualifying session on Saturday, an interesting session as at least three teams seems to be able to fight for the first places, and a podium finish in Sunday's race.
