Bahrain Grand Prix organizers, apologized to Mclaren team's fans, for having to put McLaren team to the slow end of the pitlane for the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The place of the pitlane every team gets, every year, is based on the place the team had in the constructors' championship the previous year. So since McLaren team were stripped of their constructors' championship points last year, due to the spy scandal, the place got was the last. But in the first two races of the season they got the fifth place in the pitlane, behind Ferrari, BMW Sauber, Renault, Williams. Bahrain organizers were expecting to do the same, but after Formula One Management informed them that this will not be the case, they had to demote the championship leaders to the last place of the pitlane.

"In Bahrain we do our utmost to ensure that fans of each team get to sit opposite their favourite team's pit garages to see the action unfold. Sadly on this occasion, we must apologise to McLaren fans and accept that this is force majeure,"said the circuit's chief operating officer Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa.
