Difficult situation for Super Aguri

After Barcelona, things continue going worse for the small F1 team, super Aguri. This time the team's trucks and motorhome were denied permission to enter the Turkish circuit in Istanbul.

BMW's Robert Kubica, made an excelent start in the 2008 season. BMW technical director, Willy Rampf, praised him, as after the end of Barcelona's grand prix, we saw the Polish moving up to the third place in the standings, just one point behind Lewis Hamilton and a furhter nine from Kimi Raikkonen.


"Obviously Robert has gained a lot of experience. I think especially this winter, when we brought the new car onto the track, it was very important that we relied on and got very exact feedback to develop the car, because when it comes to balance issues, it's not always so easy to see it in the wind tunnel or on the data. I think he has done a very good job. His comments are quite precise and quite repeatable, which is very important for us. He has certainly learned a lot, and made a step up compared to last year", Rampf told the team's website.



Kovalainen may not race in Istanbul - F1 News

Mclaren's Finn Heikki Kovalainen may not be able to race in the Turkish grand prix, due to the concussion he suffered in the Spanish grand prix, the previous week. Kovalainen had a tyre failure which caused him to miss the turn and hit the tyre wall, head on, while he was driving with 140 mph. Kovalainen's accident was hard, as he was knocked unconscious and was kept in the hospital for the night as a precaution.

Super Aguri will race in Spain

Super Aguri will race normally at this weekend's race in Spain, despite the fact that some financial problems have raised rumors about the future of the team in Formula 1.

It is known that the team has some great financial problems and a rescue deal with Magma group has collapsed leaving the team's future unknown. The team, however, continued the discussion with Magma but no agreement has been reached until Friday morning.

Honda had given Super Aguri a deadline to "find some money" by the start of practice session one, or the engine supply would be pulled off.

The Japanese team has a debt of about 75 million euros, with the best part of which, is owned to Honda.

Massa first in free practice in Bahrain - F1 News

Felipe Massa set the pace on the Friday's free testing, in Bahrain, while Lewis Hamilton crushed his McLaren just nine minutes before the end of the session, but manage to make lap and be placed fourth after the session. Fortunately Hamilton got out of his McLaren unharmed, and able to compete in the qualifying session on Saturday.

Raikkonen believes the fight for the title is going to be tough

The title championship is going to be tough this year as three teams are fighting for it, according to last years World Champion, Kimi Raikkonen. McLaren and Ferrari, both seem to be realy strong and able to fight, as usual, but BMW seem to have made a good progress, and is fighting hard. Still, it is too soon to make any conclusions.

Mosley should not attend Bahrain Grand Prix, according to Ecclestone - F1 News

The Formula one supremo Bernie Ecclestone, believes that the FIA president Max Mosley would better stay away from the Bahrain Grand Prix, this Sunday, after it is claimed that he was involved in a sex scandal.
