Hamilton won a very good race in Belgium, increasing his gap with Ferrari's Felipe Massa, who came second after Kimi Raikkonen's misfortune. Hamilton started his race in the pole position while Kimi Raikkonen started fourth, he managed to overpass Lewis Hamilton and his teammate Felipe Massa though, and reached the first place after only two laps.

Unfortunately for the Finn, it started raining the last rounds and while battling with Lewis Hamilton he slipped and crashed his Ferrari just two laps before the finish line. Felipe Massa came secon with a spectacular Nick Heidfeld in the third place. Heikki Kovalainen retired, after he made a few mistakes in the start of the race. Toro Rosso team made the surprise while they took the 5th and 7th place, with Sebastian Vettel and Sebastian Burdais respectively.
