The race started with Kimi Raikkonen being on top. Truli had a good start along with Alonso, while Kubica was unlucky during the start of the race as he had the worse start among the top drivers if the grid.
The Finn remained on top until after his first pit stop. During his second part of the race he faced a problem with his Ferrari's exhaust. The exhaust on the right side broke and the hot fumes burned the engine cover on that side. As a result, Kimi started losing ground, in Massa's favor. Massa finally got ahead, while it was not sure if the Finn would go until the end of the race.
Kimi's car condition got stable a few laps later and he secured the second place. Behind him we witnessed a good fight for the third place, with Heikki Kovalainen attacking Jarno Truli two laps before the end. They touched each other, hopefully with no bad results for either one of them, and they crossed the line with Truli third and Kovalainen in fourth place. Robert Kubica was just behind, ready to take advantage of their fight but with no luck.
Webber finished the race in 6th place, confirming the good shape of his team. Piquet and Alonso completed the top eight.
In this race we saw that the Ferrari is the fastest car on track at the moment. But the team has some issues with reliability, so we may witness many unpredictable things until the end of the championship. Also Toyota is getting better and better and Jarno's third place is the best reward for their efforts, especially as this place came after a clean race and not after other cars retiring.
