Can anyone stop him - Button wins Monaco 2009 race

Jenson Button won another race and 5 out of 6 that took place until know during the season.

Winning five out of six opening races of a season have happened twice in the past by nnigel Mansel and Michael Schumacher.

Jenso Button has widen his point gap between him and the rest of his rivals and it seems very hard for anyone to challenge him with good chances this season. Although he claims that it is too early to talk about the championship it is understood that he must be very unlucky during the rest of the season to loose the title.

Rubens Barichello took another second place after his good start gave him the chance to pass Kimi Raikkonen during the first corner.

Ferrari made a step forward and took places 3 and 4 with Kimi Raikkonen and Felipe Massa respectively. Webber, Rosberg, Alonso and Bourdais completed the points awarding positions.

This year the Monaco race was once again a typical Monaco race. No overtakings, despite the fact that almost everyone is trying to convince us that overtaking is not impossible in there, we had to watch another boring race. It is clear that had it not been for the fame and what the race represents (through many aspects), we wouldn't have had this race in the calendar.

Button moved ahead of his rivals right from the start. At times he was outpaced by others (Massa, Webber, Barichello) but he had control of the race during the whole time.

So after an hour and 45 minutes of watching F1 racing cars going around the town the race ended.

We saw Ferrari making a good step forward in terms of performance, while McLaren is still trying to find its way towards some better results. The truth is that Ferrari and the rest of the teams should start bringing results, and challenge Brawn right from the next race, or the championship is going to end during the summer. Let's hope that this will not happen and we will have an exciting season like the ones we had the past two years.
