Lewis Hamilton is victorious in Nurburgring - German Grand Prix

The German grand prix is over and Lewis Hamilton is the winner, followed by Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber in a race that has been the best of the season so far, as the battle for victory remained throughout the whole race.

The race started under dry but quite cool conditions. Webber had one more of his terrible starts and manage to lost his place again. Lewis Hamilton turned first while Fernando Alonso managed to pass Sebastian Vettel for P3. Vettel passed Alonso during the next lap to regain his initial position, after the Spaniard made a mistake.

After the first few laps, Lewis Hamilton was still ahead, but unable to shake off Webber. The Australian was chasing the Briton in what seemed to be a good battle. Meanwhile Fernando Alonso managed to pass Sebastian Vettel on lap 8 for P3 with a spectacular move into turn one. Vettel started losing time, while the Spaniard immediately made the fastest lap on his way to the next battle. Vettel had a spin right into the next lap. He was lucky enough to be able to continue his race without any additional position loss.

On lap 12 Felipe Massa finally made his move on Rosberg and passed him at the end of the start-finish straight for P5. At the last turn of the same lap, Webber passed Hamilton for P1, only to get passed again into turn 1, a few meters later. Fernando Alonso was already right behind them. The battle for the victory had just started there.

Sebastian Vettel was obviously facing problems as he lost his place to Felipe Massa on lap 17. The Brazilian found himself on the top after the first pit stop round, as he had not stopped yet. Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso was right behind him.

After Massa's pit stop, Webber got P1 and started pulling away as he seemed to have found a good pace. On lap 31, the second pit stop round started. Mark Webber enetred while Lewis Hamilton made his stop on lap 32. His mechanics gave him 1sec into the pit lane and Lewis was handed the first place. Fernando Alonso stopped on lap 33 and got out in P1. However, Lewis Hamilton had the pace and his tyres on the right temperature and passed the Spaniard into turn 2. The battle was spectacular.

The German grand prix is over and Lewis Hamilton is the winner, followed by Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber. It has been the best race of the season so far as the battle for victory has been constant throughout the whole race.

The Briton pulled off immediately and made the fastest lap. Fernando Alonso was second, Webber had dropped to third while Sebastian Vettel was down to 5th, facing problems with his rear brakes.

On lap 36, Jenson Button was forced to retire from the race as his car had problems with its hydraulics.

Up in the battle for the top, Lewis Hamilton seemed to be determined to win this race. His pace was incredibly fast increasing the gap between him and his challengers. A few laps later, Alonso has stabilized the game. He was closing up on Hamilton and the last pit stop for the harder tyres seemed to be the race deciding action.

On lap 51, Lewis Hamilton stopped for his final tyre change. Alonso and Webber stayed out. Two laps later, the Spaniard made his own stop. Hamilton managed to stay ahead.

On the final lap Felipe Massa and Sebastian Vettel stopped together for their tyre change. Red Bull mechanics did a great job while Ferrari mechanics made a terrible one and the German passed the Brazilian in the pit lane for P4.

The championship starts becoming interesting, but Sebastian Vettel is too far ahead. Is it going to be possible for his rivals to catch up on him so that we can see a great and challenging season ending? With 9 races to go everything can be possible, although difficult.
