After a series of bad races and accidents, Lewis Hamilton took the pole in Korea, to prove that he is still here. Considering that Sebastian Vettel already is the world champion of 2011, Lewis Hamilton seem he wants to finish the championship in a higher place than 5th. His teammate Jenson Button is 2nd in the standings, as Hamilton is 5ht with a 16-point gap between him and 4th Mark Webber. Hamilton meade the fastest lap in Q3 with 1:35.820, with Sebastian Vettel coming 2nd with 1:36.042. Jenson Button came 3rd with 1:36.126 leaving Mark Weeber in 4th place with 1:36.468. No surprise, the first three rows where filled by Red Bull, McLaren and Ferrari. Felipe Massa was 5th with 1:36.831 leaving his teammate Fernando Alonso in 6th place with 1:36.980. Nico Rosberg came 7th with 8 tenths gap from Fernando Alonso, as his teammate Michael Schumacher did not make it to the Q3 and finished 12th with 1:38.354. Renault's Vitaly Petrov came 8th leaving the last places of the first ten, in Force India Mercedes. Paul di Resta was 9th and Adrian Sutil was 10th, although none of them completed any lap in Q3.
