The Turkish 2011 race was a great race with plenty of overtakings and great battles for every position except for one. First place. Sebastian Vettel started from the pole and stayed in first place for the whole race, leaving no space for doubting about who is going to be the "boss" this season.
Right after the start, Rosberg passed Mark Webber. Vettel made it to the first turn in first place, followed by Nico Rosberg and Mark Webber. Hamilton ran wide and lost some places. The first lap completed with Vettel, Rosberg Webber, Alonso, Button and Hamilton, while Massa managed to get 7th place as Michael Schumacher and Vitaly Petrov had an impact.
During the first laps we have watched some great battles between Rosberg and Alonso (Webber had already passed Nico) and the two McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. The Spaniard managed to pass the German with the use of his DRS. Lewis passed his teammate in the same way, but Jenson attacked back and passed Lewis a lap later.
Some laps later, on lap 22 we have witnessed one of the best battles and some of the most beautiful overtakings of the last years. Massa passed Nico Rosberg only to lose his place again after a couple of turns. He immediately attacked back and passed him again. Jenson Button also attacked the German and after going side by side for a few turns he finally managed to pass him. During the next lap, Button attacked and passed Massa, who went into the pits right after that.
On lap 30, Fernando Alonso made his move on Mark Webber and passed him. During the same time, Jenson Button was pushing Felipe Massa after his pit stop. The race continued with no serious changes apart from a spectacular move on Alonso, made by Mark Webber for P2. The Australian driver took the second place completing a great 1-2 for his team.
After this race, Sebastian Vettel, having won 3 out of 4 races this season, has created a huge gap between him and his rivals. Unless the other teams make some steps forward we are going to have a boring championship as we head into summer.
