Kovalainen wins his first race in Hungary

The Hungarian grand prix kept lots of surprises once more. Heikki Kovalainen won the first grand prix of his career as Felipe Massa, who was first, retired three laps before the end of the race, after his engine failed. A big surprise came from Toyota team and Timo Glock who got on the podium for first time as he finished 2nd ahead of Kimi Raikkonen who came 3rd.

Renault team seem to have made a progress as both Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet got in the points, in 4th and 6th places respectively. Lewis Hamilton finished in 5th place, after dominating in the qualifying, on Saturday. A bad result for the BMW, comparing to the teams results till know, as Robert Kubica manage to get only one point for the team, finishing in 8th place with Nick Heidfeld being in 10th. Jarno Trulli finished 7th, giving enough points to the Toyota team to keep their 4th place in the constructors' championship, with 35 points, just 4 points ahead of Renault.

Lewis Hamilton is now leading the championship, with 62 points, with Kimi Raikkonen following with 57 and Felipe Massa with 54. Robert Kubica was left behind with 49 points, but nothing. The championship still seems to keep more surprises for us, and nothing is over yet for any of the drivers of the constructors.
