Webber won the poll in Malaysia, after a great qualifying lap of 1:49.327. Unfortunately for many drivers heavy rain started even from Q1, leaving the McLarens and the Ferraris out of Q2. The rain continued resulting in stopping the qualifying session just a few minutes before the end of Q3. The session restarted again after a few minutes and finished, bringing results that we are not used to see.
It was a good qualifying session for Red Bull as Mark Webber won the poll, with teammate Sebastian Vettel finishing in 3rd place more than a second behind his teammate. Nico Rosberg made the 2nd best lap and will start in 2n place on Sunday's Grand Prix. Force-India's Adrian Sutil, will start from the 4th place on Sunday's race, as he managed to do a great lap finishing in 4th place.
Williams Nico Hulkenberg was 5th, as teammate Rubens Barrivhello finished 7th, with Renault's Robert Kubica making yet another surprise and finishing between them, in 6th place. Michael Schumacher once again finished far behind his teammate Nico Rosberg, in 8th place. Sauber's Kamui Kobayashi and Force-India's Vitantonio Liuzzi completed the first 10 places, finishing in 9th and 10th position respectively.
